Luis Díez (viola)
A violinist in his own right, this Spanish violist started studying violin at age eight. In the following years he would participate in many different projects such as the recording of a CD for the British Council or a production of Peter and the Wolf with the “Camerata de Madrid“ and “Etcetera” puppet theater. Later on, he would combine his music studies (Conservartorio de El Escorial) with economics (CUNEF Business School, Madrid), obtaining a degree in violin performance and a Masters in Business Administration.
Deciding to dedicate himself to a music career, he went to Brussels where he studied privately with Adam Korniszewski, Liesbeth Ackermans and Ilona Sie Dhian Ho. Thanks to the latter’s encouragement he discovered the viola and its repertoire, falling in love with it immediately. He currently is finishing his studies with Gisella Bergman at the North-Nederlands Conservatorium.
